Feature Overview

The KV M Switch al lows you to control up to 64 P C, Sun or USB computers with one

keyboa rd, monitor and mouse. The KV M Switch work s with most Su n workstations,

USB computers, IBM PC /AT, and PS/ 2 syst ems and 10 0% c ompatible mach ines with

support for VGA, SVGA, XGA and XGA-II video. Su n and PS/2 keyboa rd and mouse

per ipherals a re suppor ted t hrough t he rea r of the unit.

Multiplatform

The KV M Switch adds multiplatform capabilities to your swit ching system by

simultane ously suppor ting a ny combination of compatible PS/2, Sun or USB

computers in t he same system. Switch easily across platform s with KVM Switchʼs

Multiuser/remote access capability

The KV M Switch support s two si multa neous users in t he system. T h is second user

may be placed up to 50 0 feet away from the Switch syst em. Built-i n extension lets you

place you r second keyboa rd, monitor and mouse wherever you nee d them most. Withi n

the base u nit, KV M Switch perform s as a complete 2 x 8 mat ri x switch with both user s

independently accessing any of t he eight att ached PCs at the sa me ti me.

On-Screen Display (OSD) capability

Congure a nd control you r KVM Switch with on-scre en menuing! Na me your

computer chan nels anyth ing you wish, then select the desir ed computer from an e asy-

to-use menu. Seconda r y menus let you con gu re and i nitiate chan nel scann ing a nd

other system features.

Advanced security for total control over system access

Use the advanced multilevel security feature to cong ure and cont rol server access for

ever y type of user in the system. The admin istrator has full access privileges, while

individual users can have viewi ng or viewing/editing capability for each attached server.

FLASH upgrade capability

The KV M Switch is FL ASH upgradable. Th is al lows you to updat e you r r mwa re

at any time t h rough a simple seria l connect ion to ensure that your KVM Switch

is always r un ni ng at its best. FL ASH upgrades a re ava ilable for dow nload from
